A Reason to Celebrate

On November 10th we found out just who will be joining our family in April. We had an ultrasound that afternoon and our little one made it as difficult as possible to give our doctor any inclination of the gender. Our very patient doctor worked for a LONG time but finally discovered it. He wrote the very prized information on our notecard and sealed in the envelope. Jeremiah made us both sign the seal of the envelope so that I couldn't secretly break it and reseal it. :)



We joined my family that evening to break the seal and start imagining our life with a little boy or a little girl. Jeremiah was pretty convinced about a girl but I on the other hand knew it was a boy. In fact I was so confident that I had already purchased bedding for a boy that could not be returned.

My mom had gifts ready to be opened!

That's me bragging about my spidey senses and Jeremiah feeling VERY shocked and VERY proud to be having a son!

We are SO thrilled about our precious little boy and thankful for our family who is celebrating this gift with us!

A Little Getaway

My sweet husband took me on a FABULOUS trip to Maui in October. We decided we could most definitely move there and never work again (but we won't) AND that it's hard to get a good picture when it's just the two of you.

We didn't go hungry on this trip...dinner at Leilani's (twice), lunch at Lahaina Pizza Co. (twice), Cheeseburgers in Paradise (twice), Maui Tacos (twice), The Gazebo (twice). I guess we are the kind of people that find something we like and stick to it! Looking forward to going again with the family (and new baby!) next summer!

One year ago this month...

We met Camryn! Jeremiah and I had the privilege of caring for this precious boy off and on for 8 months. They were the sweetest 8 months to say the least! Here are a few favorite pictures of our time with him.

He was just about 8 weeks old our first weekend with him.
